"We, the seminarians, thank all of our benefactors who have given of their time, talent and treasure to the Seminary. We are so grateful to you for giving all of us the opportunity to study and learn the faith at such a great place. We especially thank you for all of your prayers and sacrifices you have made to God for us, those prayers are never wasted but always answered by our loving Father. Please continue to pray for us!"
- Blake Ritteman, CMS Class of 2008

An endowment is a perpetual fund created by charitable donations (cash, stocks, mutual funds, real estate, etc.) to support a specific goal. The practice of investing the principal, rather than spending it, creates a perpetual fund. The charitable organization is supported by the annual earnings of the fund’s investments. In this way, endowments provide a “forever giving” funding source to the organization. Donors to an endowment fund of a charitable organization enjoy tax benefits in the form of charitable deductions.
The Cardinal Muench Seminary Endowment Fund provides for the ongoing mission of Cardinal Muench Seminary, that is, the formation of young men for ordination to the priesthood. Annual earnings from this fund meet a wide variety of needs and expenses: seminarian scholarships, salaries of staff and faculty, food and utilities, building repair and maintenance, and so on. If you are interested in contributing to the Cardinal Muench Seminary Endowment Fund contact the Development Office.
